As the Lead Product Designer, I am responsible for all aspects of the Gantri Marketplace website. I focus on enhancing our customer's UX, aligning product features with business goals, managing our design system, and leading our continuous A/B testing and customer research.

Despite Gantri’s success in winning multiple awards and cultivating a loyal customer base for our products, we occupy a niche market. As a direct-to-consumer brand, we also face unique challenges in building customer confidence and driving conversions.
Therefore the key question we have at Gantri is, how might we deepen our understanding of our customers and create a product experience that not only communicates our brand values and product quality but also inspires trust and motivates action?

By conducting continuous customer interviews, research, and funnel analysis, we’ve refined the Gantri Marketplace to align more closely with customer needs. Key process implemented include:
Conducting in-depth customer research across the entire funnel
Introducing A/B testing to the platform for the first time
Implementing data analytics to track key metrics like events, engagement time, bounce rate, user funnels, and organic vs. non-organic traffic

Our team embraced a ‘test fast, fail fast, and learn faster’ philosophy to continuously improve the experience. However, the path wasn’t always smooth. Managing stakeholders and securing approvals was a significant challenge, where each feature required extensive data and insights to get buy-in.
All that said, aligning with OKRs and balancing business strategy with user advocacy has been one of my biggest learnings at Gantri—finding that balance between pushing for the best user experience and meeting business objectives.
